ArcelorMittal , the world's largest steelmaker, said on Friday that it intended to buy a 70 percent stake in Italy's Carminati Distribuzione, a steel distribution firm active in the north of the country. Carminati Distribuzione sold over 75,000 tonnes of steel in 2006 with a turnover of 50 million euros ($71.5 million). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
